In 1997, PSDESIGN began as an industrial steel detailing service for local fabricators and engineers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Nearly three decades later, our philosophy of providing superior products and responsive service remains the same — even as our industry, and the services we offer, have continued to evolve.
PSDESIGN now includes in-house Connection Design, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Design, and full-fledged field services, including the latest in 3D laser scanning. Every discipline is built to streamline project scheduling, reduce field rework, and protect our clients' bottom line.

Engineering
In-house licensed and experienced engineers, designers, and draftsmen collaborate on every project. Each Professional Engineer (PE) holds a Master's and/or Doctorate degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (résumés available on request). Backed by an extensive portfolio of current 3D modeling and analytical software, clients can depend on us for accurate, dependable engineering on new-build and retrofit projects alike.
Detailing
As a premier steel detailing company, our experienced project managers proactively communicate with engineers, fabricators, and contractors, and are readily available for project meetings and site visits at our clients' convenience. Using current releases of SDS/2 and Tekla 3D detailing software, we build and maintain an accurate BIM model environment, with detailing stations staffed 24/7 to meet or exceed scheduling needs.
